Micro needling is a chemical free treatment method that is also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling. Using a device that make tiny piercings on the skin, it helps stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This technology helps reduce wrinkles, fine lines, darkspots, stretch marks, and acne scars.
How it works
During treatment, a device with tiny needles is moved over areas of your skin making micro-piercings along the way. Your skin is then stimulated to repair itself by producing collagen and elastin. This results in a thicker layer of inner skin that softens lines and wrinkles. The micro-needling also makes your skin absorb nutrient serums more readily.
Treatment Experience
Our trained technician will cleanse your skin and apply a topical numbing cream 30 minutes before your treatment. Your technician will then stimulate your skin with the micro needling pen, adjusting the speed of the needle tip to minimize discomfort. A serum will be applied to your skin after the treatment. Some patients have described the process as having sandpaper being moved across the skin.
Post Treatment
The treatment may leave your skin slightly red with minor bleeding. Our topical serum will help control the bleeding and replenish your skin with nutrients. Depending on the needle depth used and the number of overlapping passes, healing time is different for each person. Most patients have mild redness and swelling for 2 to 4 days, and some completely heal in 24 hours.
Treatment Plans & Results
Patients need about 4-5 treatment sessions for best results. You should space your first 3 treatments 2 weeks apart, and the remainder 2 treatments between 4 and 6 weeks apart. Patients with deep wrinkles or severe skin conditions may require 6 to 8 sessions for maximum results.
Patients report a noticeable glow within the first few days of treatment. Over several days and weeks and up to 6 months, the skin will continue to improve as your skin produces collagen and elastin. Incorporate a skin care program for optimal results.
